Practical Report Constitutional Monarchies Outside Thailand: Experiences From Europe and Japan

This event is intended to focus on experiences from constitutional monarchies in three European countries, namely The Netherlands, Norway and Spain, and Japan. Thailand’s constitutional monarchy is not the subject of this discussion. The impetus for this forum emanates from our intention to promote a constructive and useful dialogue involving all of Thailand’s stakeholders and to broaden minds and expand scholarly and intellectual space in accordance with University policy and philosophy. Our ISIS forums are not designed to provoke controversy and exacerbate sensitivities, but to offer wide-ranging views and genuine discourses. The dean of the political science faculty, Professor Charas Suwanmala, and the founder of ISIS, Emeritus Professor Kusuma Snitwongse, will preside over the opening and conduct of the forum.
